The Story Behind MODAK
Five years ago we started with one idea — that real change happens when you sit with communities, listen deeply, and build alongside them. Here’s who we are, what we believe, and how far we’ve come.

State-Recognised
Verified social impact work

From One Village
To Twenty & Counting
MODAK Social Welfare Foundation began in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, with a small group of volunteers running a single free health camp. What started as a weekend effort grew into a registered Section 8 organisation working across education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and environmental sustainability.
Today, with 300+ dedicated volunteers, we run 50+ active programs across 20+ villages in Maharashtra, guided by transparency, inclusiveness, and community participation at every step.
Mission, Vision & Values
Our Mission
To drive positive social transformation across underserved communities in Maharashtra by delivering accessible education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities — built with the community, not just for it.
Our Vision
A Maharashtra where every individual — regardless of background — has equal access to opportunity, dignity, and a sustainable future, and where communities lead their own development.
Our Values
Transparency and accountability in every rupee spent; inclusiveness that leaves no one behind; community participation over top-down decisions; and a long-term commitment to sustainable, nation-building work.

Foundation Director
Founder & Executive DirectorOver five years, with the support of 300+ dedicated volunteers, we’ve had the privilege of touching more than 10,000 lives across 20+ villages in Maharashtra. Every school we’ve supported, every health camp we’ve run, every woman we’ve helped become self-reliant — that’s the real measure of our work. There is still so much to do, and I invite you to be part of this journey with us.

KTR News
KTR News is our on-ground media partner, covering our health camps, education drives, and community programs first-hand. Their independent reporting gives donors, volunteers, and the public a verified, transparent view of our work as it happens — not just curated updates from us.

MyBharatConnect
MyBharatConnect helps us reach volunteers, donors, and beneficiaries far beyond Kharghar — connecting rural households directly to our welfare programs, helplines, and appointment booking. It’s how many of our 300+ volunteers first found us.
